Fivestar Apparel

A personal project, based on an existing business in Northern California.

Fivestar Nutrition is a supplement shop based in Sacramento, CA. The company has a small apparel selection within its business. I thought it would be fun to expand on a hand-lettered piece I had created for them in the past, into what could be a flagship line of apparel. This piece is essentially one logo-type that has been expanded into 3 different looks. Fivestar is displayed with two different versions of a crossbar in the “T”, as well as a third version that calls out the “est” and has the roman numerals for 2011 below it — the year that Fivestar Nutrition was established.

I also produced a possible tagline, “Fivestar favors the bold.” — a play on the popular saying, “Fortune favors the bold.”
